A new way to jump the queue

I was at NTUC Express waiting in the queue to pay for my petrol. An impatient lady who was holding a piece of cake/bread, was walking around near the cashier. I was guessing that this lady seems intend to cut the line. Bingo!!! She approached the cashier and put the cake/bread on the cashier table with few coins on the cake/bread and said "Could you please check how much does this cost?". Unfortunately, the cashier responded to her request. The cashier checked the price and took the coins for the purchase.

The moral of the scene is not about the right or wrong of the act, but more on the courtesy. The cashier or lady should at least excuse to the people who were standing in the queue. However, the cashier might think that the lady should be the one who should excuse to the next people in the line, and the lady might think that the cashier need not take her purchase but only check the price.

Haha quite amusing really. Although its impolite, I doubt one thing is going to affect anyone too much.
