Busybody

Recently, there's a discussion on TODAY newspaper about a maid who was abused by her employer in the public area. The writer tried to come forward to speak out for the maid, but unfortunately she was told to mind her own business.

In other occasion, a mother openly blamed, scolded, "taught" her daughter with 'wild' statements after her audition in NAFA School of Young Talent. Although, it wasn't happening in public area, but there were other parents and children around too.

I was thinking if the two cases above are similar. Should someone come forward to stop the 'scolding' mother?

In Singapore, majority leaves in HDB housing. It's a public secret when at night we occasionally hear shouting and screaming voices from our neighbours. Then, we'll hear either adults voices or children crying. Should we too come forward to stop the 'internal' affair?
